Marchesa Spring 2015 Collection
In their spring 2015 bridal collection shown at New York Bridal Week Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig stayed true to brand’s history and yet managed to add a contemporary touch to their romantic wedding gowns. They used luxurious fabrics such as rose point lace, silk tulle, peau de soie delustered satin which is perfect for draping and delicate Valenciennes lace. The dresses were embellished with crystals, beads, embroidery and handcrafted satin floral appliqués and featured gorgeous draped necklines and re-embroidered lace detailing. The collection is influenced by Grace Kelly, 1950-s silhouettes, Grecian dresses and fairytale princesses. Chapman described her vision of Marchesa bride as “beautiful, romantic and ethereal” and even though we have seen many. . .
