Sofitel Unveils New 5-star Hôtel Ivoire In Abidjan, Ivory Coast
French luxury hotelier Sofitel has recently unveiled their new flagship 5-star hotel in Ivory Coast’s capital, Abidjan.
Set in the high-end Cocody district, Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire blends the well-known French eye for luxury with African culture to create something graceful and unique. The 209-room hotel was designed by architect Moshe Mayer in 1963, and got a full face-lift in 2011, before reopening under the Sofitel name in February 2014.
All 209 rooms are stylish and luxurious, with the two presidential suites being the definite stand-outs. The hotel also boasts two great restaurants: the Toit d’Abidjan, offering a great 180° view of the Ivorian capital from the 23rd floor and the Ebrie Lagoon, and La Gourmandise, where traditional Africa meets exquisite French. . .
