Ballast Point recently opened a new tasting room in the Miramar area. The new location is huge–100,000 square feet of space. Not only is a there a spacious bar area for drinking and watching games, but there is also a lounge, dining area, private dining spice, and patio. It’s hard to describe in words just how much space it is without seeing it in person for yourself. Currently the kitchen is not open, though it plans to be starting next month. There was a food truck offering food when we were visiting, but they were closing up and so we only ended up getting beers. We’ve had a few beers from Ballast Point and really enjoyed them. There were about 40 beers on tap the night we visited. Tasters are $2 for most, or $5 for a trio flight, and most beers are around $5 for a. . .

I saw this recipe online and was instantly intrigued. I had never heard of a food called "bird dog". After some research, I found out they are a "thing" in South Carolina. Nick Henry's and J C's Sandwich Shoppe are apparently famous for them. SO, what is a bird dog. . .
