A must have for my kitchen is my Blendtec Total Blender. I love making smoothies for breakfast and being able to hide nutritious foods is a must. You see, I have a very very picky six year old. So, I always experiment with new ingredients and see what I can get away with. If it’s close to a pink color and sweet, she’ll drink it.
Today, I came up with a yummy smoothie that I think most kids would like. I snuck 2 carrots in and she didn’t even notice!
Ingredients:
5 fresh large strawberries – can also use frozen strawberries
1 large banana
1 cup fresh pineapples
2 carrots with skin on
1/2 cup apple juice
1 cup ice (if you’re using frozen strawberries, you may not need the ice)
Add them in that order to your Blendtec and press the “Smoothie” button. Voila…a healthy breakfast drink in no time!
