I’m always on the lookout for the coolest places to visit and this magical hotel in Chile has made it onto my list.  In the midst of the Patagonian Forest is this gem of place, appropriately named The Magic Mountain Hotel or Montaña Mágica Lodge. If you believe in fairies, goblin and elves and love The Lord of the Rings, this is the perfect place for you to visit.

Built to look like a volcano in the middle of the forest, a waterfall escapes from the top of the property and cascades over the windows of rooms built into the volcano.  This ethereal resort is located inside the Huilo-Huilo Biological Reserve, a private natural reserve and ecotourism project in southern Chile.
